  • From one island to another. We source our beans from the South Pacific. Once they get to our door, that’s where the magic happens.

  • We hand-sort, roast, crack, winnow, mill, and conch the beans slowly to build depth and smoothness, before tempering, moulding, and wrapping each bar with care. It’s a process built on patience - the kind you learn from island time.

Our story.

Tanya’s family has called Waiheke home since 1839, with deep roots stretching from Te Matuku Bay to the Onetangi bach.

The tides, beaches and backyard gardens shaped generations. Peter travelled from Newfoundland 20 years ago and stayed for love. Both trained pastry chefs, they chose to craft chocolate slowly, simply and with care. Island Batch is their way of sharing the island they call home.
